The launch of the DB Bitter Warriors was a much anticipated event. Expectations were huge. The sponsors wanted a spectacle to match those expectations, one that would be talked about long after the event. Hundreds of thousands would watch it live on television, both in New Zealand and Australia. Such was the success of the event that Mike Mizrahi and Marie Adams were employed to create a large scale prematch event for the Warriors, every week, for the following four seasons. Football stadiums are difficult places to stage productions but with help from Inside Out Productions, The Warriors succeeded in creating drama on a large-scale. The highly theatrical spectacles set the benchmark for pre-match entertainment in Australasia.
